Closing your Crunchy Bridge account

If you want to stop using Crunchy Bridge, you'll need to destroy your clusters, handle billing for each Team you want to close, and optionally delete those Teams. To completely remove your login from the platform, you'll also need to open a support ticket.

Info

Billing occurs at the Team level. You'll receive separate invoices and charges for each Team even if the payment method on file is the same. See Billing for details.

Suspend cluster

Suspending a cluster removes the underlying server instance. However, its disk image is retained in storage so it can later be resumed. There is no charge for a server instance while a cluster is suspended, but storage costs will continue to accrue as the data and backups are still stored on disk. See Danger Zone settings and Cluster management for details.

Suspending a cluster does not stop all charges, and it is not a substitute for closing your account or a Team.

Destroy cluster

In order to stop accruing all cluster-related charges, the cluster in question must be completely destroyed. This will stop and completely remove each cluster and its data from your account.

Note that all backups for a destroyed cluster will also be destroyed. Before destroying a cluster, make sure you no longer need its data or backups. If you need to preserve data, take a logical backup or create a fork via point-in-time recovery before proceeding.

Backups for destroyed clusters are maintained for 5 days after they have been destroyed, as long as the cluster has been running for at least 5 days. If you need to obtain a backup for a destroyed cluster, or restore a destroyed cluster during this 5-day period, please reach out to support as soon as possible.

Review your teams

Use the team selector in the dashboard to switch between Teams by clicking the arrow next to the current Team's name. For each Team, check the Clusters tab for running or suspended clusters.

You'll need to be a Team administrator to finalize billing or delete a Team. If you're a member of a Team you don't administer, ask a Team administrator to remove you, or open a support ticket if you need help.

Finalize billing

If you want to remove a Team or close your account, you'll first need to finalize billing for the Team. The first step is to ensure all of the Team's clusters have been deleted. Once that's done, navigate to the Team's Settings > Danger Zone section and click the Finalize Billing button.

After running the finalize billing step, you will be sent an invoice email and payment will be charged. If your invoice does not meet the $5 billing minimum, you'll still receive an invoice email but you won't be charged. Once finalized, you will not be able to create clusters in that team anymore.

Repeat this step for each Team you administer and wish to close.

Teams that haven't had any paid resources for the current month may not need to finalize billing before deletion. If Finalize Billing is unavailable, proceed to deleting the Team. Please reach out to support if the dashboard prevents you from continuing.

Delete team

After billing has been finalized, if you want to delete the team you can navigate to the Team's Settings > Danger Zone section and click Delete Team.

Users who might need to create new clusters for a Team can delete the original Team and then create a new one with the same name.

If you subscribed through a cloud marketplace, billing is handled separately.

Delete your user account

There is no self-service option to completely delete your Crunchy Bridge user account. After you've destroyed your clusters and handled your Teams as described above, please open a support ticket.
